Answer at a glance

What is IV infusion therapy?

IV infusion therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other therapeutic compounds directly into your bloodstream — bypassing digestion and absorption limits. At Aesura Health's Longevity Lounge in Hackensack, NJ, our physician-formulated menu covers NAD+ for cellular longevity, oxidative recovery for inflammation, neuro restore for cognitive support, plus immune and hydration drips. Most infusions take 30 to 90 minutes; full NAD+ runs 2 to 3 hours.

Oral supplements lose much of their dose to digestion. IV therapy bypasses that — delivering therapeutic compounds at full concentration directly into circulation. Our menu is curated, not exhaustive: each drip has a specific physiological purpose backed by real evidence, formulated by our medical team and administered in our clinical setting.

What to expect at your infusion

You'll arrive 10 minutes early for vitals and consent. Our nurse will place an IV — a small pinch — and start the drip at a comfortable flow rate. You'll relax in our infusion suite with a blanket, warm tea, and a quiet seat. Bring a laptop, book, or audio.

For NAD+: you'll feel a mild warmth or pressure in the chest at faster drip rates. We dial the rate to your comfort. Most patients listen to music or watch something calming.

After your drip, you can drive yourself home, return to work, or stack with HBOT, cryotherapy, or red light at the same visit.

Who runs IV therapy

Every drip is physician-formulated and overseen by our medical team. Infusions are administered by trained nursing staff in our clinical setting. We screen each patient — labs, medications, conditions — before the first infusion and adjust over time as part of your overall protocol.

Stack a visit

Run a drip during your Lounge session.

Most IV protocols take 30 to 90 minutes — the same window as a Lounge session. Lighter drips (hydration, immune, recovery) can run in parallel with red light or before cryo. NAD+ infusions are sequenced separately — typically before or after HBOT — because they require dedicated monitoring and cannot run inside the chamber.

Frequently asked

IV therapy, answered.

The questions Bergen County patients ask before booking.

How long does an IV infusion take?
Most drips run 30 to 60 minutes. NAD+ infusions take 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on dose. Lighter drips can run in parallel with red light, cryotherapy, or HBOT. NAD+ infusions are sequenced separately — typically before or after HBOT — because they require dedicated monitoring and cannot run inside the chamber.
Is the NAD+ infusion uncomfortable?
NAD+ can produce a pressure or warmth sensation in the chest at faster drip rates. We start slow, monitor closely, and adjust the rate so the infusion stays comfortable. Most patients tolerate it well.
Are your IVs physician-supervised?
Yes. Every drip is formulated and overseen by our medical team. Infusions are administered by trained nursing staff in our clinical setting at 390 Hackensack Ave.
Can I customize a drip?
Yes. We start with our menu of physician-formulated drips and adjust dosing or add components based on your goals, labs, and consultation.
How often should I do IV therapy?
Cadence depends on the drip. NAD+ is typically a series of 4 to 10 sessions then maintenance. Recovery and immune drips are used as needed around training, travel, or illness. Hydration and beauty drips are often weekly to monthly.
Does insurance cover IV therapy?
Wellness IV therapy is paid out of pocket. We offer single drips, packages, and Longevity Lounge memberships.
Can I eat or work during my infusion?
Yes — patients often bring a laptop or read. We provide quiet recovery space and warm drinks. We recommend a light meal before NAD+.
Are there contraindications?
We screen for kidney disease, severe heart disease, certain medications (especially MAOIs for some drips), G6PD deficiency for high-dose Vitamin C, and pregnancy. We review your full history before any infusion.
