Microneedling + PRP in Hackensack, NJ. Microchannels meet your platelets. Collagen, brightness, glow.

Microneedling creates microscopic channels that trigger collagen induction. PRP, made from your own platelets, drives growth-factor signaling deep into those channels. Together: faster healing, brighter tone, refined texture.

Answer at a glance

What is microneedling with PRP?

Microneedling with PRP combines collagen induction therapy (microneedling) with platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood. Fine needles create thousands of microchannels in the skin, and PRP — rich in growth factors — is delivered topically and via the open channels into the dermis. The combination accelerates healing, amplifies collagen response, and produces brighter, smoother skin over a series.

The "vampire facial" became famous for the wrong reason — a celebrity headline. Done properly, it's one of the best maintenance treatments in aesthetic medicine. Done wrong (or in non-medical settings), it's been linked to serious safety incidents. We do it properly. Bergen County patients drive in from Englewood, Ridgewood, and Tenafly — twelve minutes from the GWB.

How microneedling + PRP works

Two synergistic mechanisms in one session:

  • Microneedling — fine needles create thousands of microchannels in the skin, triggering a controlled wound-healing response and collagen induction
  • PRP — platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood is delivered topically and into the open channels, supplying autologous growth factors (PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, EGF) that support healing and the collagen response

What it treats

  • Dull, uneven tone — overall radiance
  • Fine lines and early texture concerns
  • Post-acne marks — both pigment (PIH) and mild scarring
  • Pore size and texture irregularity
  • Hair restoration — same technique on the scalp (separate plan)
  • Pre-event glow — booked 4 weeks out

Frequently asked

Microneedling + PRP, answered.

The questions Bergen County patients ask before booking.

How much does microneedling with PRP cost in Hackensack, NJ at Aesura?
Microneedling + PRP at Aesura is typically $750–$950 per session. A 3-session series runs $2,100–$2,700. Body areas (neck, chest, hands) and hair-restoration scalp PRP price separately. We outline the full plan at consultation.
How is this different from regular microneedling?
Regular microneedling uses only the needling pass. Adding PRP delivers your own growth factors into the open microchannels. Some studies and many patients report faster healing and brighter results when PRP is added to microneedling — we use PRP when the clinical fit makes sense.
When will I see results?
A subtle "glow" appears 3–5 days after each session. Real change in tone and texture is visible 4–6 weeks after the second session and continues to build for months after the series. PRP works gradually — through your own biology — not instantly.
Is the "vampire facial" safe?
In a properly run medical office — yes. The infection cases that made headlines came from non-medical settings reusing equipment. We use single-use needles, single-use cartridges, sterile processing, and FDA-cleared PRP processing kits under physician oversight on every session. We process your PRP in-office, in front of you.
Can I do microneedling + PRP between Fraxel sessions?
Yes — that's a common plan for patients on a 12-month resurfacing program. Microneedling + PRP is gentle enough to fill the gap between heavier sessions and keeps the skin actively remodeling. Your provider will sequence it.
Does it work for hair loss?
Yes — PRP for hair restoration uses the same technology applied to the scalp. See our Hair Restoration page for the dedicated protocol; it's a different appointment cadence (typically 3 to 6 sessions, then maintenance every 6 months) but the same biological mechanism.
How does it feel?
With proper topical anesthesia, most patients rate it 2–4/10. The forehead and around the lips are the most sensitive spots. The needling pass takes 20–30 minutes. The PRP application itself is painless.
Will I bruise?
Mild bruising is possible — small pinpoint marks where PRP is injected — but is uncommon with this protocol. Most patients have only general pinkness for 24 hours and return to work the next day.
